STATE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Residents of Quebec may not apply electronically.
- Designated Producer(s) are required to hold an active IL license
(resident license or non-resident). Producer's listed as Designated
Producers must also be specified under the Owners, Partners, Officers or
Directors section of the application.
State fees will be collected by NIPR (on behalf of IL) when a transaction is
declined according to IL business rules. Transaction fees and processing fees
will also apply. Violation of the following rules will result in a decline
response.
- Applicant must not have an inactive Non Resident
license in IL.
- Individual applicants - Applicant must be 18
years old or older as determined from the applicant’s Date of Birth.
- Canadian applicants that do not have a U.S.
resident license cannot apply electronically.
- Non-Citizens (excluding Canadians) must hold U.S.
resident license and provide U.S. mailing address.
- Business
Entity applicants - At least one Designated Producer must hold an
active license in IL. (can be either
resident or non-resident).
- Business
Entity applicants - Designated Producers specified on the application (question
#23), must also be specified as Owners, Partners, Officers or Directors.
