STATE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- The LOA of Reciprocal is no longer an LOA that can be applied for electronically. If an applicant would need the LOA of Reciprocal they will need to contact the IOWA department of insurance for an application.
- All non-renewed producer licensees can reinstate an expired license up to and including 12 months from the date of the license lapse by reapplying using the NRR application and paying the standard fees plus a late fee of $100.00 (for all authorities). If the license has been non-renewed for more than 12 months, it will be processed as a new application and only the standard fee ($50 with no penalty fee) will apply. Non-resident licenses expire for individuals on the last day of the birth month, business entities on the last day of incorporation/formation month.
- All non-residents that have cancelled, surrendered, or terminated for over 30 days apply as a new non-resident through NRL.
State fees will be collected by NIPR (on behalf of IA) when a transaction is declined according to IA business rules. Transaction fees and processing fees will also apply. Violation of the following rules will result in a decline response.
- Applicant must enter NASD CRD number on application if applying for Variable.
