STATE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Business Entities:  North Dakota corporate laws require registration with the ND Secretary of State before doing business in North Dakota.
  • Designated Producer(s) are required to hold a ND license (resident license or NRL). The Designated Producer(s) must hold lines of authority being requested by the Business Entity.

State fees will not be collected by NIPR (on behalf of ND) when a transaction is declined according to ND business rules. If a transaction is deferred to the state for review, and later declined by the state, fees will be collected. Transaction fees and processing fees will also apply. Violation of the following rules will result in a decline response.

  • Individual applicants - Applicant must be 18 years old or older as determined from the applicant’s Date of Birth.
  • Individual applicants - Applicant must enter NASD CRD number on application for Variable Products.
