Improves Licensing Process
KANSAS CITY,
Mo. (Sept. 29, 2009) - KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 22, 2009) – The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) is proud to announce its Diamond Sponsorship of the Securities & Insurance Licensing Association (SILA) 2009 National Education Conference, as well as its participation on a key technology panel.
The National Education Conference is a prominent event for the insurance industry that provides attendees with the latest insurance licensing and securities registration information.
“NIPR is committed to supporting SILA’s efforts in the licensing community and is proud to be a top sponsor of this year’s conference,” said Maryellen Waggoner, NIPR Executive Director. “Given the current economic climate, it is important for the industry to learn about the latest technological advancements and how they can improve the efficiency and lower the costs of the licensing process.”
This year’s conference, held in Phoenix on Oct. 24-28, focuses on insurance trend projections for 2010, ways to stay compliant and cut costs, federal and state regulation, and new technologies for securities and insurance licensing.
“Our goal at SILA is to stimulate and encourage important dialogue within the industry,” continued Waggoner. “We want our support and participation at the conference to help the industry move forward and evolve to meet the changing needs of our stakeholders.”
As part of the “Technology Update – State Insurance Departments” session on Wed., Oct. 28 at 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Kingston Koser, Sales and Marketing Manager of NIPR, will discuss future technological advancements to assist producers and companies in further automating the licensing process to ultimately improve processing efficiency – benefiting the industry as a whole.
In addition, NIPR will participate in the Conference Welcome and Exhibitors Fair, allowing attendees to test NIPR’s latest innovation – the Reporting of Actions (ROA) function of the Attachments Warehouse.
The secure database of the Attachments Warehouse receives, stores and shares application, renewal and background information requested by regulators from producers. When additional information or documentation is needed by a state insurance department, this industry-leading function allows producers to submit this data electronically to multiple states at one time.
The new ROA function expands the filing abilities to allow producers to submit necessary documents for reporting administrative, criminal or civil action. Producers are required to report such actions within 30 days to meet licensing requirements.
