NIPR BOARD CONVENES WITH
TWO NEW REGULATOR MEMBERS

NEW YORK (March 9, 2007) — The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) Board of Directors met today with two new members. Roger Sevigny, NAIC Vice President and New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner, and Julie McPeak, Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Insurance, attended the meeting as the newest representatives of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) on the NIPR Board.

"We are pleased to welcome Commissioner Sevigny and Director McPeak to the NIPR Board of Directors," said Maryellen Waggoner, NIPR Executive Director. "Their knowledge and experience will be a valuable asset as we continue to streamline and re-engineer the producer licensing process."

Sevigny has served as New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner since 2003. Prior to becoming Commissioner, he held the position of Assistant Commissioner at the New Hampshire Insurance Department. Sevigny also worked in the insurance industry at Travelers Insurance for more than 30 years in a variety of technical and management positions.

McPeak was appointed Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Insurance (KOI) in July 2006. A 1994 graduate of the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, McPeak also served as general counsel for the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet, working primarily with the state’s self–funded health insurance plan.
