The board of directors of the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) re-elected Alaska Insurance Director Linda Hall as NIPR president December 13, during a meeting in Chicago. Hall has been a member of the NIPR board since June 2003 and served as president since December 2004.

5/3/10 -2010 NAIC/NIPR E-Reg Conference Kicks Off in Kansas City

More than 550 insurance regulators and industry representatives are in Kansas City to attend the 11th annual E-Reg Conference sponsored by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). The conference began today with a keynote forum featuring NAIC President and West Virginia Commissioner Jane L. Cline, Alaska Insurance Director Linda S. Hall and Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger.

3/26/10- NIPR Releases 2009 Annual Report

Highlighting the significant achievements made toward a one-stop solution for producer licensing, the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) today released its 2009 Annual Report. The year's successes include: completion of ninety-six significant state project implementations; release of a reengineered reports function; expansion of the Attachments Warehouse with a Reporting of Actions (ROA) function; and newly focused Vision and Mission Statement. "This has been an important year for us in the advancement of producer licensing technology," said NIPR Executive Director Maryellen Waggoner. "The ROA function provides significant value to the industry and the state regulators by simplifying the way producers report actions. This tool - along with the other products implemented in 2009 - continues to enhance NIPR's vision as a technological innovator in producer licensing."

3/9/10- 100 Millionth Transaction Processed through NIPR Gateway

The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) recently processed its 100 millionth licensing transaction through its Gateway tool, the communication network that electronically links state insurance departments with the entities they regulate. "Hitting this benchmark is a key milestone for NIPR and demonstrates that our products and services are vital to the daily operations of the insurance industry," said NIPR Executive Director Maryellen Waggoner. "Given the clear demand for technological advancement from insurance carriers, producers and the states, we stand committed to expanding and improving our digital capabilities."
