Add a new line of authority to your insurance license for the states where you plan to do business. Review the requirements and submit your request through NIPR’s online application.
Check your insurance application status
Check your application status by transaction or order number. States usually take 7–10 business days to respond. If there’s no update after that, contact the state to request the status or see if more documentation is required.
Continuing education requirements

Look up a National Producer Number

A National Producer Number (NPN) is a unique NAIC identifier assigned during the licensing application process. NPNs are assigned to individuals and business entities in the Producer Database (PDB).
