Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant's date of birth.
Applicants with a status reason of revoked or suspended may not reapply electronically.
Applicant may not have a P.O. Box in their residence or business address.
Consultant applicants must provide proof of $500,000 errors and omissions insurance covering consultant activities.
Applicants for life settlement investment agent and applicants for the variable line of authority must supply a FINRA Central Registry Depository (CRD) number on the application.
If you need to verify your CRD number you may use the Broker Search feature found on FINRA’s website.
Life settlement investment agents and life settlement brokers must reapply the day after expiration date.
Adjusters and consultants may reapply after two (2) years of expiration date. If within two years of expiration date, applicant must late renew through Resident Licensing Renewal application.
Producer applicant may reapply for a new license one year after expiration date. If within one year of expiration date, applicant must late renew through Resident Licensing Renewal application.
Managing general agents, reinsurance intermediary brokers, and reinsurance intermediary managers must first hold an active authority with the producer license.
Life settlement investment agent and life settlement brokers may not hold licenses simultaneously.
Applicants applying for personal lines may not actively hold or be applying for casualty line of authority. Personal lines is included in the casualty line.
Applicants applying for surplus lines must actively hold or be applying for both property and casualty lines of authority.
Applicant must provide a valid business and residence phone number.
Applicant must provide a valid business email address.
Applicants must answer the following question: “During the last three (3) years, have you lived outside of Oregon for sixty (60) or more consecutive days?”
If applicant answers yes to the aforementioned question, then applicant must list all locations lived outside of Oregon in the last three (3) years with the most recent location listed first. Applicant must include the city, state, and residence dates for all locations.
Applicants must also answer these two (2) questions: “What state do you currently have your driver’s license in?” and “What is your driver’s license number?”
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax. All other required documentation must be forwarded directly to the state.
