The biennial license fee for a Business Entity Producer is $100.00.
The LOA’s assigned to the Business Entity can be no greater than the LOA of the Designated/ Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) listed on the application.

 

In reference to question 25 on the application the District of Columbia Department of Insurance and Securities Regulation (DISR) does not require that the Designated/Responsible Licensed Producer be an Officer, or Partner of the Business Entity. The individual must hold a current District of Columbia Producer License prior to submitting an application for the Business Entity (BE).

 

Must comply with the requirements of DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), Corporation Division, www.dcra.dc.gov, filing as a foreign corporation or other legal entity operating in the District of Columbia.

1. One hundred dollars ($100.00) for one or more of the following lines of insurance:

    a) Life b) Accident and Health or Sickness
    b) Accident and Health or Sickness
    c) Variable Life and Variable Annuity products, or
    d) limited lines of Credit, Surety, Crop, Car Rental and Travel

2. One hundred dollars ($100.00) for one or more of the following lines of insurances;

    a) Property
    b) Limited lines of Credit, Surety, Crop, Car Rental and Travel
 
LOA Qualifications PDB Verified.
 
Resident Producers – Attach Examination Score.
 
Surplus Lines Authority – Maintain Proof of $20,000.00 Surety Bond.
