New York - Turning off initial licensing transaction processing for business entities.
Effective May 23, 2025 New York will turn off initial licensing transaction processing for business entities through NIPR for maintenance. Any transaction submitted to the gateway will be declined until processing resumes.
This affects the following transaction types:
- Resident Licensing (RL)
- Non-Resident Licensing (NRL)
- Non-Resident Licensing No Home State (NRLNHS)
Processing is expected to resume on or before July 1, 2025. An updated notification will be posted once processing resumes.

South Dakota Division of Insurance Transition to State Based Systems (SBS)
South Dakota Division of Insurance Transition to State Based Systems (SBS) The South Dakota Division of Insurance will be transitioning to NAIC’s State Based Systems (SBS) in July. In coordination with the transition, Pearson VUE will not be offering in-person or online testing for South Dakota insurance exams July 10, 2025 through July 15, 2025. If you have any questions, please contact the Division by email at sdinsurance@state.sd.us.
Additionally, South Dakota applications will be turned off beginning at 4:00 PM Central Time on Thursday July 10, 2025. Processing is expected to resume at approximately 9:00 AM Central Time on Wednesday July 16, 2025. Any transactions submitted during this downtime will be declined. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
