NIPR Releases 2016 Annual Report

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 7, 2017) — The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) released its 2016 Annual Report today featuring key accomplishments and celebrating 20 years since its inception.

"2016 not only marked a milestone anniversary for NIPR but we also processed a record-breaking 27.5 million transactions, representing a 9.57 percent increase over 2015," said Karen Stakem Hornig, NIPR Executive Director. "For two decades, NIPR has served as the trusted centralized resource for producers and we're dedicated to constantly improving the quality of service and technology we deliver."

"Today NIPR is at the heart of the nation's producer licensing system, providing one-stop shopping for all aspects of electronic producer licensing," added Roger Sevigny, NIPR Board of Director's President and New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner. "Underlining everything we do is our commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for our customers and stakeholders."

The report's online edition features audited financial statements and an Annual Report video with messages from Hornig, NIPR board members and NIPR staff.

Incorporated in October 1996, the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) is a non-profit affiliate of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). NIPR developed and implemented the Producer Database (PDB) and Gateway, which is a communication network that links state insurance regulators with the entities they regulate to facilitate the electronic exchange of producer information.
