NIPR Launches New Mobile App for
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 18, 2018) — The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) debuted its new mobile app at the kick-off of the NAIC/NIPR Insurance Summit. This app, powered by NIPR's Producer Database (PDB), will allow insurance professionals to access their licensing information on a mobile device.
"As a trusted centralized resource for insurance professionals, NIPR is dedicated to improving our technology services to handle our volume with more efficiency and ultimately better serve our customers," said Karen Stakem Hornig, NIPR Executive Director.
Any professional licensed by a state department of insurance can utilize the app to view their basic licensing information, which includes license numbers, expiration dates and lines of authority. This allows NIPR customer service representatives more time to dedicate to those with more complex questions and transactions.
Future versions of the app will give insurance professionals the ability to renew licenses on their mobile device. Renewal reminders, demographic information and carrier appointments will be added as well.
Insurance professionals can download the app for free by searching "NIPR Mobile" in the Apple or Google Play App Store.
NIPR is a not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). Governed by a Board of Directors representing the NAIC and the insurance industry, the organization was established as a public-private partnership with the goal of streamlining the producer licensing process.
