NIPR ADDS INTERACTIVE TOOL TO MAKE
APPOINTMENTS AND TERMINATIONS EASIER

ATLANTA (August 10, 2012)The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) has added a new Interactive Appointments and Terminations (IA&T) tool that will make the process of submitting applications and terminations with the state easier for smaller companies.

The new tool can be accessed by all companies using the NIPR subscription services, and will allow for producer and business entity appointment and termination transactions to be processed without extensive programming. This is a benefit specifically for smaller companies that do not have enough volume to justify the specialized programming previously required.

"NIPR is very excited about the release of the IA&T application," said NIPR Executive Director Maryellen Waggoner. "We continue to anticipate the needs of all companies that rely on NIPR to ease the process of producer licensing by expanding our offering of products to the states and insurance industry in general."

With a quick setup and few minimum requirements a company can submit appointments and terminations through the IA&T application using a National Producer Number (NPN), state license number or Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).All appointments and terminations will continue to be submitted to the states through the NIPR Gateway. Contracted companies can still use the NIPR Company/Appointment/Termination Report (CAR) or the Company Appointment Reconciliation Report (CARR) to assist in managing appointments or terminations.
