Addresses will not be updated in the Maine record as part of the renewal process. A separate request must be submitted to the Bureau of Insurance. Address changes can be made through the website under producer services, address changes.

Individual producer and producer limited licenses classes are perpetual. A new license will not be sent unless requested.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
Non-Resident Consultant
Renewal Period: 90 days prior to license expiration date
Late Renewal Period: Late license renewals are allowed electronically beginning the day following the license expiration date and will end 90 days past license expiration date. After 90 days past license expiration, the applicant must submit through initial licensing application.
Note: license must be in Active status in order to renew / late renew
